I'm Jayden, a family + wedding photographer based in South Orange County, California. I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2011. I relocated to the OC in 2019 and have been LOVING calling Rancho Mission Viejo home. I have been commuting back to Canada for work for the past 5 years and am now opening my business in SoCal!!
When I'm not behind the camera, I love spending time with my husband Jensen and our red toy poodle Pico. I love travelling, reading, singing at the top of my lungs in the car, spending way too long at the thrift, and yapping with my friends for hours on end.
I'm drawn to people that are silly, laid back, and authentically themselves. Capturing each family's unique relationship is my jam. My goal is to create timeless images that bring back all the amazing feelings from this unique phase of life (and for you to look at yourself and be like "whoa.. I'm hot as hell".
While I have been focusing on wedding photography for the past 14 years, I have always photographed 60-80 family sessions each year. I'm so fortunate that almost all of my sessions are returning clients!! I have legit cried at seeing some of my cutie clients-turned-friends grow up over the years.
While moving my business down to Orange County, I am still offering wedding coverage in Canada with my associate team and am happy to take on a few weddings each year myself in the States while pivoting to mostly capturing families + couples.
When people ask the classic question "mountains or beach?" My answer has always been "why not both?!" And I am so thrilled to be offering sessions both here in sunny SoCal and in the Canadian Rockies.

I grew up in a big family where there was constant chaos. I absolutely loved it. I'm the fourth child of six, and all of our names start with a J. I have two step sisters now and a million in-laws!
I'm an enneagram 7 (iykyk) and am motivated by having fun! I am super extroverted and fill my cup by being social and having lots of plans with friends.
I went to the Alberta University of the Arts for 3 years as a photography major and have been a full time photographer ever since!
Making people laugh is my love language and there is nothing better than creating an epic inside joke or exchanging really funny stories.

There's nothing quite like having a partner/family in life who truly understands you and who have built a life with. When I look back on photos from my life, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. It's amazing to me how a photo can take you right back to those memories and bring back such a range of emotions.
So, as your photographer, I'm not just there to capture beautiful images - my goal is to create mini time capsules through my images for you to look back on for years to come; To decorate your home with, and to pass on to future generations.
I know it can be so stressful to pick a location, all of the outfits, and get everyone ready. But once your at your session I will help you relax, laugh with your loved ones, play fun games, and get allll the cuddles. If there is a meltdown or two along the way, no sweat! I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to keep the vibes fun and to get everyone laughing.
